Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
Kunal Ghosh, the Trinamool state general secretary and spokesperson, shocked many by abruptly resigning from his political posts, citing dissatisfaction with the party's internal workings. In a series of accusations, Ghosh lashed out at North Kolkata MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay, alleging his association with the BJP and engaging in discussions with BJP leaders. Ghosh further criticized Bandyopadhyay for lacking organizational strength and using his residence as the de facto party office for North Kolkata.
Despite his resignation from certain positions within the party, Ghosh clarified on Twitter that he remains loyal to Trinamool and its leadership, Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee. He emphasized his commitment to the party while also relinquishing his role as the former Medinipur supervisor and returning the state-provided security.
